From birth Malroc has been a part of the Thunderhorn Clan. Growing up, the Thunderhorn Clan was civilized and lived in harmony with nature and the few connections they had outside of the clan. By the age of 10 he started to notice a growing aggression toward his people from the outsiders, traders and wonders. As rare as these encounters where, this was the first he heard of this kind of distrust towards his clan.
A few years later he found the reason for these uprisings was because Baphomet’s hold growing stronger in his clan. In order to help fight the aggression, and Baphomet, Malroc joined the village militia to learn the art of combat. While in the militia he fell under the training of First Warrior Taerak, captain of the militia. Taerak trained Malroc hard, only finding that Malroc was up for every challenge he could throw at him. After time it was obvious that Taerak favored Malroc and would always keep him by his side.
While out on patrol duty, Malroc came back to the village to find his family gone and he was told “they were banished for giving in to Baphomet’s urges”. This only motivated Malroc to train harder and find peace with Moradin, god of stoicism and loyalty, to loosen Baphomet’s grasp as mush as possible. With his new inspiration, Malroc trained with more ferocity then ever, quickly becoming the strongest soldier in the clan. After seeing Malroc’s determination to become the best, Taerak named Malroc his successor as First Warrior for the clan when the time arises.
With Malroc’s new found status, Durgroth, the Leader of the clan sent him on a diplomatic mission to help the trade situation with Hawksbridge. After a failed ambush by his own people to kill Malroc and the Hawksbridge emissaries, he found written orders amongst the dead reading, “For the money I’m paying you, I expect results. Kill them all.” Malroc can only assume somebody high up in his clan had given the command. Not knowing for certain who tried to have him killed, Malroc can not go back his village… at least for now.
Since the attempt on his life, Malroc has joined with the party from Hawksbridge that had saved his life, but that is another story.
